A Proven Approach

Trained and certified as a health coach by PreKure, I follow evidence-based lifestyle medicine practices, including nutrition, exercise, rest and relaxation, social and environmental modification.

Lifestyle medicine is a holistic blend of complex physiology and behavioural sciences that prevents preventable diseases and treats modifiable illness. This approach considers the multi-variant factors of an individual’s total health and wellbeing and makes incremental changes to achieve a sustainable healthy lifestyle.

As part of health coaching, my clients get:

  • A comprehensive needs assessment
  • Creation of a personalised holistic lifestyle plan
  • Help setting realistic goals
  • Access to the latest research in lifestyle medicine including behavioural practice
  • Practical tools, techniques, and knowledge to achieve goals
  • Continuous support and motivation management

Why I chose PreKure

PreKure is a social enterprise dedicated to the World Health Organization’s definition of human health: “a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” The health professionals at PreKure who trained me and oversee my ongoing practice are highly educated in the science and practise of lifestyle medicine.

My Health Coach Certificate (Micro-credential) from PreKure is recognised by the Health Coaches Australia & New Zealand Association (HCANZA.org) and the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) has evaluated the Certificate and has assessed it to be equivalent to 30 credits (300 notional learning hours) at Level 5 on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF). This is equivalent to University Level education.
